Gold Hygiene Award 11th February 2008

Rayners received the Gold Hygiene Award, from Chiltern District Council Environmental Department the third year running in February 2008

for the high level of cleanliness and hygiene.

The Environmental Health Department  issues Food Safety Awards. These awards are given to food businesses that show a commitment to preparing food that is safe to eat.   The award will not be given to businesses that just comply with the law, but to those who demonstrate that they go further than this by carrying out good practises.

The award is available to all businesses that prepare high-risk foods, that is food that are able to support the growth of bacteria, some of which could give rise to food poisoning if handled incorrectly.   The awards will be issued to qualifying premises following routine food hygiene inspections.

The awards are at 3 levels, Gold, Silver and Bronze

Gold Awards are only given to premises who are considered to be excellent in all aspects of food hygiene with fully documented and recorded procedures and practises.

The Gold Hygiene Award reflects the high level of commitment from our Catering Department and ensures that our residents receive nutricious, well balanced, and fresh meals cooked in the most hygienic environment.
